Congratulations! You have just found a fine hardwood product from COUNTRY WOOD PRODUCTS. Our bowls have been hand crated from trees that date back to Colonial America. We use a time-honored process that was developed in the early 1800's in the crafting of our bowls. These bowls are made from a solid piece of hardwood. The dark marks or imperfections that you may see in your bowl are nature's "beauty marks." These can be caused by any number of occurrences in nature. Some examples of this could be mineral content of the ground water where the tree grew, wet or dry years, or even the wind which can cause a tree to twist as it grows. After the bowl has been turned, dried, and
sanded, it is then decorated by our craftsmen and women of the Finger Lakes Region in New York State. It is important to remember that these fine American hardwood bowls can be used for any number of functions. Examples of these could be serving bowls; popcorn bowls; mixing, chopping or fruit bowls; candy dishes: nut bowls; or decorative accessories-not to mention salad bowls. Additionally, all of our cutting boards, forks and spoons, pepper mills, and decorative accessories have been carefully selected and decorated to compliment our bowls and improve your profitability. We then finish the bowl
with a food-safe finish for added protection. The only care that you need to do is to keep
them clean by washing with warm, soapy water and to oil them occasionally. Be sure not to
let water stand in the bowl for any length of time, as this may damage the bowl.
